Materials
Self-made materials are materials that are made specifically for the film. For example in the film Jassaric park the footsteps of the T-rex was made a dog chewing a hard toy. Self-Made materials can be for any film genre but sci-fi films are most common in using self-made materials because of the complexity of the sounds or costumes.
Archive materials are those that have been preserved for a long time, example of which would be in a documentary, the items used by cavemen and historical context as such.
Library materials are materials that are already made and can be used by anyone. Example of a genre using this would be comedy which provides the live audience laughter sounds.
Here is a couple of organsations that offer Libary and Archive materials:
BBC Motion Gallery
BFI National Archive
British Council Film Collection
British Pathe Film Archive
Our materials for our film:
Props: Scissors,
Costumes: Roadman clothes
Technological equipment: Camera, mobile phone
We do not need any budget to create our film, we only need a pair of scissors which we can acquire from the art department.
